Our yoga mats are handmade and require gentle love and care. The organic nature of cork takes a bit more attention to keep in quality condition. For proper care and maintenance, we recommend using our cleaning spray or a PH neutral soap with a lightweight cloth. For light use, cleaning should be done at least once a week. For frequent or heavy use, such as hot yoga, cleaning should be done after each practice. Always lay your mat flat to dry. This prevents build up of sweat and body oils which can decrease grip over time. Avoid using ammonia based cleaners or chemicals to clean the mat. Cork as a natural product may change color when exposed to direct sunlight, keep away from direct sunlight to minimize the effect.
