Bryan Kest

Bryan Kest has been practicing yoga since 1979, starting when he was 14-years-old in Hawaii with David Williamsand Brad Ramsey in the 2nd ashtanga yoga class in the world outside of India, known today as being a pioneer ofbringing Ashtanga yoga to America, and the creator of one form of Power Yoga.“My primary objective”, says Kest, “besides turning more and more people on to a healthier, more peaceful lifestyle that continually challenges them to grow, is to teach a system of exercise that fully integrates the body, mind, and spirit. The new trend towards yoga is not surprising, given that the body is limited and the mind is limitless. The combination of body and mind creates an incredibly broad range of fulfillment, including top physical condition and a calm, peaceful, clear mind.”Founder of Santa Monica Power Yoga, and now based in Ojai, California, Kest leads yoga classes, retreats & workshops worldwide.

Miri Hussain

Miri is a certified yoga and meditation teacher living in Portugal and is an experienced, warm and caring teacher who has been practicing yoga and meditation for 15 years. Lorna Garcia

Lorna Garcia’s practice and teaching is influenced by different schools of yoga  - such as Iyengar for alignment, Ashtanga Vinyasa for strength of will and tenacity, Hatha for balance, Yin and Restorative for complete surrender.  Her approach to yoga is one that places importance on breath and empathy towards ourselves. Over the years, she has learned that most of our fundamental attitudes to life have their physical counterparts in the body.  This is what she shares in her class - control and integration of body through Asanas, mind through Pranayama and relaxation, and spirit through Meditation.  That and her sense of humour that will put you right at ease.

Lorna had been teaching in studios, workshops and retreats for 10 years in Hong Kong, across Europe, the Cote d’Ivoire and India.  She is also a Certified Sound Therapist specialising in the use of Tibetan singing bowls. She is currently based in France.

Tracy Sullivan

Tracy Jane Sullivan is an intuitive harpist specializing in health and wellbeing.

Inspired by clinical research demonstrating that live harp music has a positive effect on the human body as well as the mind and spirit, Tracy Jane works internationally with a variety of therapists and yoga teachers composing beautiful bespoke 'harpscapes' for classes, sessions and workshops.

Paul Johnson

Paul Johnson is a multi-instrumental performer and composer who draws his influences from the folk traditions of Europe, Africa, and India. He plays a wide range of instruments specializing in ethnic flutes, reeds, and bagpipes. He has worked extensively in theatre notably at Shakespeare's Globe for the last decade. He enjoys improvisation, bespoke site-specific work and sound healing. Live music has the ability to touch people emotionally and working interactively in close quarters with an audience maximizes this potential.

Our Corc Yoga mats are good for anyone who enjoys a firm mat, across all types of yoga.
Our yoga mats are handmade and require gentle love and care. The organic nature of cork takes a bit more attention to keep in quality condition. For proper care and maintenance, we recommend using our cleaning spray or a PH neutral soap with a lightweight cloth. For light use, cleaning should be done at least once a week. For frequent or heavy use, such as hot yoga, cleaning should be done after each practice. Always lay your mat flat to dry. This prevents build up of sweat and body oils which can decrease grip over time. Avoid using ammonia based cleaners or chemicals to clean the mat. Cork as a natural product may change color when exposed to direct sunlight, keep away from direct sunlight to minimize the effect.
We accept payment with Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
Each mat is carefully inspected by hand to ensure the highest quality. We are a small family business that takes pride in delivering a sustainable and organic mat for your practice that you will be 100% satisfied with. If for any reason you are less than 100% satisfied, you can return for a full refund or exchange within 60 days. Please accompany any returns with your original proof of purchase.
We ship worldwide. If there are any questions on shipping, please email us at info@corcyoga.com
In stock items typically ship within 1-3 business days of when the order was placed. Shipping times vary based on location.

Corc Yoga was born following a life-changing trip to Portugal. Our vision since the beginning was to expand beyond the idea of just a yoga mat, and go deeper into our community by cultivating a retreat - an experience not just focused on yoga, but one centered around the lifestyle of travel, community, sustainability and self-care. On a search to find a location that aligned with our vision, we discovered a beautiful hidden-gem in the city of Evora - the world’s first cork hotel, a sustainable eco-resort embedded in the cork region of Portugal.
Absolutely! Here at Corc Yoga we believe yoga is a lifestyle not just a physical practice. So whether you want to meet new people, deepen your practice, new to yoga or need an inspiration to travel, our retreat is for you.
