Christine Moghadam

Impressed not only by the hospitality of local residents, but also the inherent eco-consciousness of the cork material, Christine built a brand rooted in the cork farmers' commitment to sustainable and ethical business practices.  With community as the heartbeat of Corc Yoga, Christine had the vision to expand beyond the yoga mat by cultivating an experience centered around Corc Yoga's core values, people, planet and purpose.

Feeling extremely blessed to not only be given the opportunity for education, but to have a voice in society, she felt it was imperative to raise both awareness and funds for girls all over the planet who are denied such essential human rights. She launched Souljourn Yoga in 2016, a US 501(c)3 non-profit inspired by seva, the Sanskrit word and yogic principle of selfless service.

Souljourn Yoga creates opportunities to explore, practice, and educate through yoga both on and off of the mat by offering a spectrum of workshops, teacher immersions, and global retreats to continue to promote female empowerment and education in communities where equal opportunities aren’t always readily available.

Jordan has been featured in Forbes, Yoga Journal, Medium, Women’s Health UK, Marie Claire UK, and is a Tedx Speaker whose life mission is to take the practice out of the studio and around the world to support women’s empowerment.

Over the years, she has learned that most of our fundamental attitudes to life have their physical counterparts in the body.  This is what she shares in her class - control and integration of body through Asanas, mind through Pranayama and relaxation, and spirit through Meditation.  That and her sense of humour that will put you right at ease.

Lorna had been teaching in studios, workshops and retreats for 10 years in Hong Kong, across Europe, the Cote d’Ivoire and India.  She is also a Certified Sound Therapist specialising in the use of Tibetan singing bowls. She is currently based in France.

Corc Yoga was born following a life-changing trip to Portugal. Our vision since the beginning was to expand beyond the idea of just a yoga mat, and go deeper into our community by cultivating a retreat - an experience not just focused on yoga, but one centered around the lifestyle of travel, community, sustainability and self-care. On a search to find a location that aligned with our vision, we discovered a beautiful hidden-gem in the city of Evora - the world’s first cork hotel, a sustainable eco-resort embedded in the cork region of Portugal.
Absolutely! Here at Corc Yoga we believe yoga is a lifestyle not just a physical practice. So whether you want to meet new people, deepen your practice, new to yoga or need an inspiration to travel, our retreat is for you.
Yes, once you complete your registration, please email us at to let us know your dietary preferences.

The schedule gives you a sense of the flow of each day. It’s always subject to change, depending upon the needs of the group, weather, etc.
Absolutely, Portugal is considered one of the top ten safest countries to visit in the world:
