COVID UPDATES

We are very concerned about your well-being and have gone out of our way to take all measures to keep you healthy and safe. Portugal set the standard by being the first to receive the 'Safe Travel' seal from the World Travel & Tourism Council. To make sure you have a safe experience we made the following arrangements:

We have implemented social distancing regulations, therefore shared rooms are no longer an option. We now offer single rooms only unless traveling with members of the same household.

We reduced our retreat size for social distancing practices. Classes and activities will take place outdoors. Transportation arrangements will be at half capacity for safe distancing measures. Welcome bags will include mask and gloves. Dining will be assigned for social distancing and there will be outdoor options. We will send a safe travels checklist before your departure. Tivoli Hotel is following Portugal's CLEAN AND SAFE procedures. Should anyone feel sick they will need to be tested onsite. Upon positive results they will need to be quarantined for 14 days.

WHAT'S YOUR CANCELLATIONS POLICY?

No deposit required until May 13th Free Cancellation until May 13th. (Less than 45 days prior to arrival)
1st Deposit: 50% will be charged 45 days prior to start date of the retreat to guarantee the slot.
2nd Deposit: the remaining 50% will be charged 21 days prior to arrival.
NO SHOW: 100% of the deposit is non-refundable.
No refunds or cancellations will be accepted for confirmed bookings. In the event you're no longer able to attend and would like someone else to take your place, transfer requests must be received at least 30 days prior to the retreat. Acceptance of transfer requests will be at Corc Yoga's discretion.

HOW IS THE HOTEL STAYING SAFE DURING COVID-19?

In compliance with the local health authorities, the hotel has kept in mind the well-being of both customers and employees and has been approved with the “Safe & Clean” seal from the Portuguese Tourism Board to their property. As part of the new requirements, they have enhanced levels of hygiene and using specific disinfectants against Covid-19 in all public areas, including lobbies, restaurants, swimming pools and guest rooms. These measures include enhanced hygiene and disinfection within bedrooms, cleaning several times a day surfaces and objects in common use (including counters, light and elevator switches, door handles, cabinet handles), availability of hand sanitisers at various points in the hotel and a variety of specific extra measures to ensure the health of guests during their stay, such as disinfection of luggage on arrival and key cards. These guidelines also extend to all back of house operations from supply chain deliveries to culinary preparation areas and housekeeping procedures. In addition, the hotel staff measures body temperature daily, reinforces the necessary training in hygiene and safety, as well as provide personal protective equipment.

WHAT'S THE DAILY SCHEDULE?

Once your booking is confirmed, you will have exclusive access to the schedule on a mobile app where you can sign up for classes, excursions, meet other attendees and our teachers. Corc Yoga will be your personal concierge from the minute you register to the very last day of the retreat.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY REGISTRATION?

The total cost paid is for one space on the retreat and includes: *6 nights accommodation * Access to your own personal concierge app *Daily Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (afternoon snacks and morning coffee included) *1 Corc Yoga mat *Daily yoga (variety of styles) *Daily meditation (variety of techniques) *Daily shuttles to the city of Evora *Wine tasting led by wine specialists from the Douro Valley Portuguese cooking class *Olive oil tasting at a local farm with an award winning producer. *Spend an afternoon wine tasting and forest bathing in fields of cork trees, family owned for 5 generations *1 day visit to one of Portugal’s best secret beaches. *1 day visit to Portugal’s most beautiful castle(s) in the Alentejo region *Live evening performance led by a local Portuguese musician and so much more!

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED IN MY REGISTRATION?

*The cost paid does not cover airfare, hotel spa services, travel insurance and any special arrangements for airport transportation, additional accommodation, and all other bookings for those arriving early and/or staying later for an additional cost. Additional transfers to/from the retreat are at your own cost, unless otherwise specified. *Travel insurance is is highly recommended. If you choose to buy insurance we require that your travel insurance covers the activity of this event as well as unexpected cancellation, sickness, losses. * All tips for the drivers, teachers, guides, housekeeping and bell boys are not-included. * Alcoholic beverages, non-included drinks, souvenir shopping and laundry services are not included. * Also not included are: items of a personal nature such as, gifts, toll calls, excess baggage, medical costs, the costs of hospitalization and evacuation from remote areas, travel insurance and additional expenses arising from the delay or extension of a trip due to weather, political disputes, sickness, failure of transportation, or other causes beyond our control. * Other non-included items would be: any other activities and tours not included in our package. **Signups will be required for all transfers and excursions included prior to the start date of the retreat.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN EACH SUITE

Each suite is equipped with free Wifi, air conditioning, Tivoli toiletries, LCD Television, hair dryer and a mini bar. You will have at your disposal a safe to secure your personal belongings such as your passport, bathrobe, slippers (on request) and coffee maker.

ARE ALL SUITES THE SAME SIZE?

Please note that all bookings are first come, first serve. All suites are equally priced. All suites are detached and may vary slightly with views. If you have specific requests or needs for your room, we will do our BEST to accommodate you, however we cannot guarantee your request will be met. WHICH AIRPORT DO I FLY INTO?

The arrival airport is Humberto Delgado Airport, also known simply as Lisbon Portela Airport. Once you purchase your airfare, we ask that you email us at retreat@corcyoga.com immediately so we can make sure to note your arrival time. We will have two options for you to choose from for airport shuttle pick up times from the airport to Tivoli Evora Ecoresort.

On a search to find a location that aligned with our vision, we discovered a beautiful hidden-gem in the city of Evora - the world’s first cork hotel, a sustainable eco-resort embedded in the cork region of Portugal.

WHAT GOES ON BETWEEN SESSIONS?

In addition to the hotel amenities, the city of Evora is a must visit destination and only a 10 minute drive from the hotel. We will have transportation available at certain hours of the day (included with your costs) and Uber/Taxis are always available at your disposal. You will also have the option of partaking in inclusive excursions to visit one of Portuguese secret beaches, experience forest bathing amongst cork trees and enjoy wine + olive oil tasting at a local farm.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Evora weather is dry and warm during the summer months, so make sure to bring your summer gear! Closer to the date of the retreat, we will send you a checklist to make sure you have everything you need.

CAN I BRING MY OWN YOGA MAT?

No, we will be providing a Corc Yoga mat for each person.

DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN EVERYTHING?

You do not need to participate in everything; you can pace yourself to find the perfect amount of activity for you. We support you in doing as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.. However: remember this is an active vacation, and we are giving you as much value as we can for what you signed up for! (personally, we wouldn’t want you to miss a thing!) The schedule gives you a sense of the flow of each day. It’s always subject to change, depending upon the needs of the group, weather, etc.

WHAT IS CORKTREKKING?

Connect with nature on a deeper level and surround yourself with the most giving tree, the cork tree as we take you on a jeep ride (hike is optional) through a family-owned cork farm. Develop a love and appreciation for cork as you learn about the harvesting process, history and heritage of the cork trees.
